What is it?

First Friday is a national movement among artists in many cities across the United States. Held on the “First Friday” of each Month – April through November, artists open their studios to present their work to the public.

First Friday events keep the arts in the forefront of a community.

Many studios will have complimentary wine and appetizers to entice the community to stay a while, take a look and hopefully buy original works of art.

Many artists will also invite local musicians to round out the evening with original music.

A celebration of the Arts every First Friday!

It’s a beautiful sensory experience presenting the HEART and SOUL of a city. These evenings begin around 5 – 6 pm and the studios stay open until around 9 or 10 pm. You may want to contact individual studios to get their exact opening or closing times. Traditionally the biggest crowd is from 7 – 9 pm. Some studios occasionally offer after parties with special musicians, masquerades, dances or even late night dinners. Don’t miss this cultural experience!
